The Skinny
Flag Football
After a 2-3 week, let’s see
if someone can get off the schnide.
Game 1 – Storm v Monaghan
House
This may be a major mismatch
in the standings but, after last week, I take nothing for granted. The Monaghan boys will be playing an early
game for the first time and that may cause some problems for man power, with
all of that snow...yeah right! Hopefully everyone makes it and we get a good
clean crisp game. Gotta go with the X-Rob factor – Monaghan House 40, Storm 12.
Game 2 – Men of War v Grubsnaker
How many times can you
actually say that the Men of War are underdogs. Especially after the Grubsnaker’s acquisitions this past week? Now that the Lagunas
have former standout and slap happy Justin Fumando
rushing the passer Brandon may have to call his own number more times than even
he prefers. JJ will bring some
possession type receiving but look for the Grubs to keep the Men off the win
column. Grubsnaker 34, Men of War 18
Game 3 – First Round v Rebels
Even with this game being
played well After Dark, the first Rounders are going to have a hard
time stopping the Rebellion. The Rebels
right now are a very good team, with both Richie and
his Minnie Me working the offensive side of the ball. It also takes a very special player to know
when his skills have diminished so much that it is time to step down from the A
level; nice job Marcus. The boys may be
going to
Game 4 – Millertime
v Hitmen
Well, looks like both teams
will be bringing a ton of offense to this game.
Especially if Fasano brings his kin who has a
little more time on his hands now Millertime
on the otherhand have been taking Giant steps this
season to prove that splinter teams can survive. Having the smallest numbers in the league not
only make them dangerous but also unknown to opponents
so look for the Booze Boys to run and pass own the field. Only the cops can stop speeders so the
Wilkins will have their work cut out for them.
Call this one a pick em and I’m going with
experience
Hitmen 44, Millertime

Game 5 – Do Work v Wrecking
Crew
Our final game,
and some may say thank god, is going to be a battle of two teams that may
decide the division, even this early.
Neither can take a loss right now through the first cycle with inter
conference games coming up next.
Hopefully it won’t be ended early as both Frank and Kevin usually have
very short fuses after hearing the complaining in the previous 4 games. Hopefully someone with a badge will be on
crowd control as the Sportscenter may just set an
attendance record for this one. Did
someone say defensive battle? – Wrecking Crew 20, Do Work 15
