Youth Roller Hockey Parents & Player Information

This handout has been prepared to give you an idea on how the youth hockey draft league will be ran and inform you on what responsibilities you will have. Age Divisions: Mite 6-9 Years Old, Squirt 10-12 Years Old, & Peewee 13-15 Years Old.

Teams: Following Saturday’s evaluation clinic all teams will be formed by the Tab Ramos Sports Center Hockey Staff. All team rosters will be placed on the Sports Center website Wednesday December 5th, and all coaches will be given rosters with contact information and they will be required to contact you directly to inform you of your game time.

Season Schedules: On Wednesday December 5th all players will be notified by your teams coach to inform you of your first scheduled game. When you arrive for your first game the full season schedule will be available

Game Times: All games will be played on Saturday’s between 8am-5pm.

Arrival for Games: All players must arrive 15 minutes early before scheduled game time.

Referee Fees: Each team will be responsible to pay $25 per game referee fee. To make things simple this year during week #1 we will be collecting a one team fee of $25 per player to cover all referee fees for the entire season. This fee will be collected when team jerseys are issued.

Goaltenders: A few teams in each division do not have a steady goaltender. Every game a player will take a turn playing goal. Example; 10 game season, 10 player roster, each player taking a turn in goal. Tab Ramos Sports Center will provide the gear for each player for each game. If a regular player decides to become a fulltime goaltender, the following season that player will receive $25 off there registration.

Team Uniform: Tab Ramos Sports Center will be providing uniforms for each team. Every player is required to wear there team uniform. No player may wear a different jersey then the one they are given. If a player forgets his or her jersey, they will be given rental jersey for the day. If a player loses his or her jersey they will be required to purchase a new one at a cost of $20.

Practice: Each team will receive a practice the on Saturday September 22^nd (time TBA). If a team wishes to have more practice please contact Chris Gosha for rink times and dates.
